Rick Neuheisel was fired Monday after four season as the head coach of the UCLA Bruins. Neuheisel will coach the Bruins in the PAC 12 championship game against No.8 Oregon on Friday, December 2nd.

Neuheisel was fired after his four seasons of work where he compiled a 21-28 record after taking over in 2007. The Bruins went 6-6 this season with a 5-4 conference record.

"I don't need reasons. Certainly when you're UCLA coach, you'd like to play better against USC. When you lose in the fashion we did, that's a difficult pill to swallow," said Neuheisel on a PAC 12 teleconference call.

No word yet on if an official search has begun yet for Neuheisel's replacement but some names are already being kicked around including former Oakland Raiders' coach, Tom Cable.
