Junior guard, Robert Turner, made his first five consecutive three-point attempts for the Red Raiders.  Turner helped Tech overcome a four-point first half deficit before they pulled away for the win.  He finished the night with 21 points, four assists, a steal and a rebound in 21 minutes of game time.

Turner talked about the shooting grove he was in, "Once that first one dropped, it felt good and it's repetition really.  Once (the ball) came back my way, I shot it the same way every time."

Jordan Tolbert went 6 of 8 from the field and 2 of 4 from the free throw line as he continued 14 points in the Red Raiders win.

Head coach Tubby Smith was pleased with his team's play, especially their 19 assists, "I think we're getting the right type of leadership within the team. One guy is willing to pass the ball and then everyone else does.  It makes us that much tougher, and that's how I thought we took the lead. We started making the extra pass, finding the open man and we made those open shots."

The Red Raiders will have a tough early-season test in two nights. Texas Tech goes on the road to play at the Alabama Crimson Tide in the Big 12- SEC Challenge.  Thursday night's game tips off at 8 o'clock on ESPN2.
