San Francisco Giants Shutout St Louis Cardinals 9-0, Advance To The World Series

After being down 3-1 in the NL Championship Series, the San Francisco Giants capped off three straight wins with a 9-0 shutout of the St. Louis Cardinals to advance to the World Series.
Series MVP Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro was 3 for 4 with a walk and a run scored. Brandon Belt was 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a solo home run in the eight inning. Angel Pagan was 2 for 5 with an RBI and a run scored. Pitcher Matt Cain picked up the win with four strikeouts and giving up only five hits.
Cardinals pitcher Kyle Lohse took the loss after giving up six hits and five runs.
Game 1 of the World Series between the Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants will be on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 7:07 p.m.
