The San Francisco Giants beat the Detroit tigers 4-3 to win the World Series 4-0.  It is the Giants second title in three years and their seventh title in franchise history.

Buster Posey hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning to give the Giants a short lived 3-2 lead before the Tigers tied the game up.  Ryan Theriot scored the winning run in the 10th inning off of a Marco Scutaro RBI.

Matt Cain took the win for the Giants after only giving up three hits over seven innings.  Closer Sergio Romo struck out Miguel Cabrera in the 10th to win the game for the Giants.

Pablo Sandoval was named World Series MVP for his performance during the Fall Classic.  Sandoval had eight hits, drove in four runs, batted .500 throughout the series and had three home runs in Game 1 of the series.
