Texas Tech first baseman Scott LeJeune has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District first team.

LeJeune, who graduates in August, put together a perfect 4.0 grade point average during the fall semester and currently holds a 3.47 cumulative GPA.

He is the first Red Raider to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District first team since Cody Fuller in 2005.

LeJeune was one of four players from the Big 12 honored on the District 7 team, along with Texas A&M's Ross Stripling (Pitcher) and Baylor's Kolt Browder (Pitcher) and Logan Vick (Outfield).

First team all-district selections now become eligible for Capital One Academic All-America recognition which will be announced later this season.
