Former Texas Ranger Justin Smoak hit a RBI single in the eighth inning to tie the game and Jack Cust followed with the winning RBI single to lift the Seattle Mariners to a 4-3 victory over the Texas Rangers at Safeco Field in Seattle Tuesday night.

The Mariners have now won six of their last seven and the Rangers have lost seven of nine games with another lead blown by the bullpen in the late innings.

Alexi Ogando threw six solid innings giving up one run on five hits with six strikeouts earning the no-decision while Pedro Strop blew the lead in the 8th pitching an inning plus of relief. Erik Bedard pitched seven solid innings giving up two runs on two hits with three strikeouts.

Texas has lost three in a row and sit at 16-14 overall in a tie with the Los Angeles Angels at 1st place in the AL West. Seattle and Texas play tonight at 9:10 with 3-1 CJ Wilson taking the mound for Texas against 4-1 Michael Pineda.
