Sergio Garcia Chokes Again as Tiger Woods Claims The Players Title

Sergio Garcia was right where he wanted to be as he walked to the infamous 17th green at TPC Sawgrass sitting at -13 and tied for the lead.  This would all change is what was yet another epic collapse by Sergio.

He proceeded to hit his first two attempts at the hole in the water and was only able to salvage a +4 on 17.  He followed that up by hooking his drive off of 18 dead into the water.  By the time he was done he was sitting tied for 8th as he finished -7 for the tournament.

Tiger Woods, on the other hand, handled 17 and 18 with relative ease pulling out a par on both of them.  The next major tournament will be the US Open which is June 13-16.  Thursday and Friday coverage of the US Open will be on ESPN while Saturday and Sunday’s rounds will be broadcast on NBC.
