Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege was named the recipient of the Davey O’Brien Quarterback of the Week award for his effort in Saturday’s49-14 upset win over then 5th ranked West Virginia.

The senior threw for 499 yards while tying a career-high with six touchdowns.

Doege tossed two touchdown passes in the Red Raider’s first two offensive possessions of the game and didn’t look back as the rout was on.

He would go on to complete 32-of-42 passes with 15 of those going for 15 yards or more.

Doege will look to keep the Red Raiders rolling when they head to Fort Worth Saturday to face new conference member TCU. Kick-off against the Horned Frogs is set for 2:30 p.m. central and will be televised on ABC.
