The Texas Rangers season came to an end last night as they were defeat in the play-in game for final American League wildcard spot with their 5-2 loss on Monday.  Texas' loss snapped the teams seven game win steak. It also ruined the return of Nelson Cruz (Pictured on the left) to the line up as last nights contest was his first game back since his 50 game suspension for PEDs.

Tampa Bay start David Price would throw a complete game for the win last night as he gave up just two runs on seven hits.  The Ranger starter Martin Perez didn't have the night he was looking for.  Perez left the game early in the sixth after he had given up three runs on four hit and would be awarded the loss.

Now with the season over, the future must become the priority for the Texas Rangers front office.  The big question heading into this off-season is will manager Ron Washington return?  This is the second straight year Texas has struggle down the stretch.  They did have a long win streak to get them in this position, but many would say their poor play and managing put them in that position to begin with.  That brings us to our FAN poll of the day.
