It was Houston’s third win in the past four games. In those three wins, the Astros have out scored opponents 15-0 in the first inning.

The Astros continued the trend of making noise in the  first inning as they knocked around Rockies and former Texas Tech pitcher Chad Bettis (2-2).

Preston Tucker had an RBI single and Colby Rasmus blasted a three-run home run of his own to give Houston an early 4-0 lead.

Houston is undefeated (24-0) in games in which they hot more than one home run.

"That is a dynamic offensive club," said Rockies’ Manager Walt Weiss. "They hit the ball out of the park better than anybody in the game, and we saw that tonight. It's a dangerous lineup."

Dallas Keuchel (8-2) had a no-hitter through the first five innings -- the second consecutive Astros pitcher to do so before giving up three hits, including RBI singles, to Troy Tulowitzski and Nolan Arenado, along with two runs in the sixth inning.

Nick Hundley’s RBI double in the seventh chased Keuchel with the Astros leading 5-3. Joe Thatcher came in and got the final out of the seventh to hold the lead.

"You see [Keuchel] out there competing and keeping a good hitting team off the board. Obviously, for us, that's inspiring out in the field and he's our guy, so we want to play hard behind him," Springer said.

Springer’s second homer of the game pushed the lead back to three runs at 6-3.

Houston’s top prospect SS Carlos Correa went 3-for-4 at the plate and is now hitting .310 in his brief Major League Career. Correa has hits in six of his first seven appearances and has reached base safely in all seven contests.

Pat Neshek pitched a perfect eighth before Luke Gregerson came in and shut the door in the ninth to pick up his 16th save of the season.

The Astros and Rockies wrap up the Houston portion of their split four-game series Tuesday afternoon with a 1:10 p.m. CDT start at Minute Maid Park before shifting to Coors Field in Denver for the final two games.

Rockies left-hander Chris Rusin (2-1, 3.38 ERA) will take the bump and is expected to face Astros’ rookie Vincent Velasquez (0-0, 0.00) who will be making his second big league start of the season.

You can hear that game on Sportsradio 1340 The Fan beginning with "Astro’s Launch" at 12:45 p.m.
