Steelers And Packers To Meet In Super Bowl XLV

Super Bowl 45 is officially set as they Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers will meet in Cowboys Stadium on February 6th. This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams in the NFL title game.

for 121 yards on 27 carries and touchdown. The Pittsburgh defense also showed flashes of their “Steel Curtain” days as William Gay recovered a fumble and took it to the house for a touchdown, late in the second quarter.

The Steelers will be making their 3rd appearance in the past six seasons and their 8th overall in franchise history. They currently hold the NFL record for Super Bowl titles as they have 6, one more than Super Bowl host Dallas.

The Green Bay Packers became NFC Champions on Sunday thanks to their 21-14 victory over rival Chicago from Soldier Field. The Packers took down the Bears thanks to the play of their defense. Defensive Tackle B.J. Raji played hero as he intercepted a Caleb Hanie pass and returned it for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Packers are usually led by the play of their quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but that wasn’t the case on Sunday. Rodgers finished the game with a pair of interceptions and a passer rating of 55.4. He did score the first points of the game for the Packers though, as he snuck in the end zone in the first quarter.

Green Bay will be making their first Super Bowl appearance in 13 seasons. This will also be their first Super Bowl appearance without quarterback Brett Favre who led them to their last appearance. This years’ title game will mark the 5th appearance for Green Bay.

Las Vegas odds makers have set already set the opening line for the Super Bowl in Dallas. The opening line for the Steelers and the Packers has been set at 2 ½ in favor of Green Bay.
