Between the controversy over homosexuality, athletes getting trapped and rather terrible toilets, the Winter Olympics may have gotten some bad press, so here’s a healthy dose of good publicity.

An elaborate opening ceremony lasting more than three hours marked the start of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia on Friday.

After a disappointing first half in which team USA led by only one point at half time, the US Men's basketball team found their groove and took down Argentina 126-97.

Former Olympic triathlete Dan O'Brien was caught off guard during an interview on the NBC Sports Network with the ever so attractive, Michelle Beadle. Just seconds after sitting down to join for theinterview, O'Brien began to fall.

Justin Gatlin will be London bound as he earned his spot on the Olympic team this past weekend. Two more Olympic hopefuls, Allyson Felix(right in photo) and Jeneba Tarmoh (left in photo) are still waiting to see their fate. Gaitlin though has thought of a way for the two to settle up on who gets the final spot. Gatlin suggests some good old fashioned mud wrestling.

The U.S Olympic Committee has notified all interested U.S. cities that it will not submit a bid to host the 2020 Summer Olympics.
