Tampa Bay Rays Demolish the Houston Astros in 12-Run Shutout

The Tampa Bay Rays slammed their way to a 12-0 win over the Houston Astros Monday in Houston.

Rays starter Matt Moore gave up only two hits in seven innings to earn his 11th win of the season. 3B Ryan Roberts (pictured) hit two home runs as he drove in three of the Rays 12 runs. Sean Rodriguez also drove in three runs as he went 4-for-6. The Rays had a total of 17 hits in the win.

Astros starter Dallas Keuchel pitched 4.2 innings as he gave up 5 runs on 8 hits and 5 walks. The bullpen didn’t help matters for the Astros as Paul Clemens and Hector Ambriz gave up four and three runs, respectively.

The Astros continue their series against the Rays Tuesday night.
