July is turning out not to be a good month for the Houston Astros.  For the second consecutive game, the Astros were shut out by the Tampa Bay Rays.  On Tuesday, the Rays won 8-0.

Rays ace, David Price, pitched 7 innings, struck out 10 and only gave up 3 hits. Price improved his record to (2-4).

Offensively, for the Rays, Evan Longoria went 2-for-4 and drew a walk. Center fielder Desmond Jennings drove in 4 runs while going 3-for-5 with a home run.

The Astros only mustered 4 hits, all of them singles.  Their lack of plate discipline showed again as they didn't manage any walks in the game.

The Astros have now been shutout in 21 consecutive innings. They play the Rays again on Wednesday night.
