TCU quarterback Casey Pachall has been suspended indefinitely after he was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

Coach Gary Patterson announced the suspension just a few hours after police say Pachall was pulled over for running a stop sign near the Horned Frog’s Fort Worth campus.

"My job as a head coach is to win games, educate our kids and help them with their lives," Patterson said in a written statement.

Fort Worth police Sgt. Pedro Criado says Pachall's blood-alcohol level was above the legal limit, but wouldn't provide specifics.

"He did give a breath specimen which indicated he was over the legal limit," Criado said.
