Gold medal at stake or not, the U.S. Olympic basketball team proved it has more talent on its roster than Spain.

Carmelo Anthony came off the bench to score 23 or of his 27 points in the first half, as the American defeated Spain 100-78 on Tuesday.

It could have very well been a preview of London’s gold medal game.

LeBron James added 25 and Kevin Durant had 13, including 10 in the first few minutes of the third quarter which helped the U.S. break open the game after a shaky start.

It was the American final exhibition game before heading to London. Team USA begins play in pool A Sunday July 29 against France.

The two sides played a memorable gold-medal game four years ago when the Americans pulled away for a 118-107 win after leading by only four points with just over 2 minutes left in the game.
