After a disappointing first half in which team USA led by only one point at half time, the US Men's basketball team found their groove and took down Argentina 126-97 to bulldoze their way into the medal round of Olympic play.

Kevin Durant led the way for the Americans, putting on an absolute clinic in the third quarter, scoring 17 of his game high 28 points. LeBron James also came through for the United States scoring 18 points early, but was forced to sit on the bench for much of the second half after getting into foul trouble.

The game very nearly got ugly however when Facundo Campazzo cheap shotted Knicks star Carmerlo Anthony in the groin. Anthony told reporters after the game, "You come down in transition and you're wide open and for somebody to do that, it was a cheap shot." He was also quick to add, ""It was more of a tap. I'm fine. I'm cool."

Kobe Bryant also got involved, but in a diplomatic role, getting Compazzo to apologize. Kobe stated after the game that, "I have a great amount of respect for Argentina and how hard they've played, but that was uncalled for."

Here is the video of the cheap shot. In Campazzo's defense, he was apparently motivated by a cheap shot he had taken earlier in the game.
