The No. 24 Texas Tech Softball team suffered their second series sweep on the season on Wednesday as they dropped their double header with the No. 17 Baylor. Texas Tech lost their series opening game 5-1 to the Bears, and was pummeled in the second and final game of the double header 10-3.

The loss dropped the Red Raiders to 36-6 on the season, 1-5 in Big 12 play, and will most likely boot them from the Top 25 rankings. They have now lost 5 of their last 6 games as they were swept by Missouri in a double header last week.

The win improved the Bears to 30-6 on the season, 4-2 in conference play, and moved gives them the season sweep of the Red Raiders as the double header will be the only time the two teams meet in the regular season.

Tech will look to rebound from their current skid as they return to action on Friday in their first conference road game of the season. The Red Raiders will head to Ames, Iowa to battle the Cyclones of Iowa State. First pitch on Friday is set for 2.
