Tennessee Football Using Drone To Film Practices
The University of Tennessee football team could be a lot more dangerous this fall. The Volunteers and new head coach Butch Jones have a drone. For now, Tennessee claims it’s just using the hovering drone to record different angles of plays in spring practices. You can see the drone in action in the Vine video below shot by Tennessee football beat writer Evan Woodbery of the Knoxville News Sentinel.

With just one winning season in the past five years, Tennessee needed to do something to turn its program around in the hyper-competitive Southeastern Conference. Hiring Jones away from Cincinnati was one step, but employing a drone is taking gridiron warfare to a whole new level. Florida, Georgia and Alabama should all be getting a little bit nervous about this. Maybe they’ll start investing in invisible lasers?
