The Texas Ranger have now lost four straight games as they fell to the Chicago White Sox on Monday by a final score of 5-3 in a game that was eventually shortened by rain.  Texas jumped ahead early in this game as they took a 3-0 lead into the third inning.  Chicago responded though as they came back to score five unanswered runs to earn the win.  On the mound for Texas was Nick Martinez, and he would struggle again on his way to earning the loss.  He gave up five runs on eight hits in just five innings of work as he falls to 1-8 on the year with an ERA of 5.31.

"He's making progress," Rangers managers Ron Washington said.  "I'd still like to see him get through the sixth and seventh innings.  He's got the stuff, he just has to learn how to use it and minimize the damage.  Take that deep breath and minimize the damage."  Texas will continue their series against the White Sox today with first pitch for that game set for 7:10pm from U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago and can be seen on FOX Sports SW.
