A Texas State Representative has filed a bill to ensure that two state rivals will play each other again.

Representative Ryan Guillen filed House Bill 778 Monday in Austin which would make the University of Texas and Texas A&M play each other in football on a yearly basis.

Guillen is a Texas A&M graduate and South Texas Democrat and has served in the Texas Legislature since 2002.

Texas A&M and Texas did not play last season after A&M left the Big 12 Conference to play The Aggies beat back to back National Champion Alabama on the road 29-24, finished the season 11-2, and had the most talked about player of the season with Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel.

The Longhorns didn't have better success as they finished 9-4, but were outclassed in their losses to West Virginia, Oklahoma, and Kansas State. The growing unrest among Texas fans toward Head Coach Mack Brown hasn't helped either.

The Aggies and Longhorns last played in November 2011 with the Longhorns winning 27-25.
