The Texas Longhorns have another quarterback controversy on its hands. What else is new for coach Mack Brown and the Longhorns?

A starter has not been named for the 2012 season and there won't be much surprise if the Longhorns revert back to the two-quarterback system with David Ash and Case McCoy.

The Longhorns reported to training camp Sunday with Ash and McCoy preparing to battle for control of the offense after a rocky 2011 in which both started several games in an 8-5 season.

Ash started Texas' Holiday Bowl win over California, but Brown insists he's not ready to declare Ash the starter for the season opener against Wyoming on Sept. 1. Why not drag this out? See Major Applewhite and Chris Simms for the best example of this.

Ash and McCoy met with reporters on Sunday and McCoy noted he's bigger and stronger also saying he used not playing in the bowl game as motivation for his offseason workouts.
