The Texas Rangers struggled again on Wednesday as they fell 10-1 at the hands of the Tampa Bay Rays.  Miles Mikolas got the start for Texas, but would not have one of his better outings as he went six innings while giving up ten runs on nine hits.  Pitching wasn't the only issue Texas had last night though as their offense also played poorly.  They managed just four hits in Wednesday night's loss and were just 1-5 with runners in scoring positions.

With the loss, Texas is now 47-73 on the season which gives them the second worst record in baseball ahead of just the Colorado Rockies (46-74).  They are currently 26 games back in the American League West as the Oakland Athletics sit at 73-47.  Texas will wrap up their mid-week series against Tampa Bay tonight with first pitch for that game set for 7:05pm from Globe Life Park in Arlington and can be seen on FOX Sports SW.
