A Baytown, Texas, man has been convicted on multiple charges after a 4-day trial at federal court in Lubbock for his role in a drug conspiracy that operated in West Texas.

44 year-old Frederick Allen was convicted on one count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, and one count of distribution and possession with intent to distribute cocaine.

Court records say Allen supplied large amounts of cocaine to dealers, who would then distribute the substance throughout Abilene, San Angelo, and surrounding areas. Federal agents executed an under-cover operation in October 2017, and purchased cocaine and methamphetamine worth around $25,000.

Allen faces up to 30 years in prison and a $2 million fine. A sentencing date has not been set at this time.
