The Texas Rangers announced that they have agree to a one-year deal with pitcher Jason Frasor.

Frasor has been in the major leagues since 2004 has spent most of his career with the Toronto Blue Jays.  He played the 2011 season with the Chicago White Sox but was sent back to the Blue Jays later that year.  Frasor had a record of 1-1 with a 4.12 ERA in 50 games last year.  In his career, he has a record of 26-31 with a 3.77 ERA and 26 saves in 525 games.

The Rangers announced the deal when they designated catcher Eli Whiteside for assignment to make room for Frasor on the 40-man roster.  The Rangers start the 2013 season on March 31 against instate and new AL West Division rival Houston Astros on the road.  First pitch is at 7 pm.
