Right Hand Pitcher Kyle McClellan has signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers that includes an invitation to major league spring training.

McClellan played in St.Louis for last five seasons.  He went on the disabled list on May 18th, had surgery on his right elbow and shoulder on July 10th and was waived on November 13th.  He is expected to be ready for the start of spring training and has been throwing on his surgically repaired arm.

McClellan has an ERA of 3.69 with a record of 19-23 in 261 games from 2008-12.  The Texas Rangers also signed Ryan Feierabend and Kevin Pucetas to minor league deals.  Texas opens up the 2013 MLB season on March 31 against in state and new AL West rival Houston Astros on the road. First pitch of that game is at 7 pm.
