Texas Rangers And Neftali Feliz Agree To 1-Year Deal

The Texas Rangers have agree to a 1-year deal with right hand pitcher Neftali Feliz for the 2013 baseball season.
The terms of the contract were not disclosed to the press. Feliz had a record of 3-1 with an ERA of 3.16 in eight games during the 2012 season. He had “Tommy John” ligament replacement surgery on August 1st to correct his right elbow inflammation that he suffered during the 2012 season. He will be on the disabled list when the 2013 season starts on March 31st.
This now makes outfielder David Murphy the only eligible Ranger for salary arbitration that has not signed a contract. The Rangers open the 2013 MLB season on the road against the Houston Astros.
