C.J. Wilson (4-1) struck out a career high 12 batters, retired the last 14 batters and gave up 6 hits in a 5-2  complete game victory for the Texas Rangers over the Seattle Mariners Wednesday night in Seattle.

Texas entered the game losing 7 of their last 9 games as the bullpen has blown leads in the late innings and the offense stalling out without Josh Hamilton being among the injured.

Rookie Michael Pineda (4-2) pitched 7 solid innings for the Mariners who fall to 14-17 on the season while Texas improves to 17-14 going into the third game of this mid-week series before the Rangers return for a much anticipated meeting with the New York Yankees.
