The Texas Rangers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 3 – 0 and took the series in doing so.

The Rangers pitcher, Colby Lewis, did well on the mound. Lewis gave up 4 hits over 8 innings and keeping the shut out.

Nelson Cruz gave the Rangers a 1-0 lead  on a fifth-inning RBI single, and Elvis Andrus extended the lead, making it 3-0 in the 8th when he hit a two-out single to right off Price. The 2 runs were scored because one pitch before Craig Gentry and Ian Kinsler pulled off a double steal to get into scoring position.

Neftali Feliz came in in the 9th to close it out and after giving up a lead off single, Feliz completed the save for his 11th save of the year, while Lewis improves to 5 – 5 on the year.

The Rangers are now 7 – 3 over the last 10 games as they travel to Cleveland for a 4 game series against the Indians. The Rangers and Indians wil hit the field tonight at 6.
