The Texas Rangers used solo home runs from Mitch Moreland and Adrian Beltre in the top of the 10th inning to power past the Oakland A’s for a 6-5 last night.

Nelson Cruz started the scoring for the Rangers in the fourth inning off a sacrifice fly scoring Elvis Andrus and Moreland hitting a two-run home run to give the Rangers a 3-0 lead.

Derek Holland earned a no-decision for Texas giving up four runs in 5 2/3 innings pitched. Bartolo Colon for the A's threw six innings giving up three runs on four hits.

Joe Nathan recorded his 12th save of the save after giving up a run in the bottom of the 10th. The win for Texas snaps a four-game losing streak against the A’s that goes back to last season.

The rubber match between Texas and Oakland is this afternoon at 2:35 from Oakland on FOX Sports Southwest. Alexi Ogando takes the mound for Texas opposite A’s starter Dan Straily.
