Adrian Beltre hit a two run single in the 11th and Mark Lowe earned his first save of the season as Texas outlasted Kansas City 5-4 in 11 innings at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

Beltre went 2 for 6 in the game with 3 RBI in the game for Texas as Alexi Ogando earned a no-decision pitching seven strong innings giving up two earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts.

Kansas City tied the game in the 9th as Eric Hosmer homered off Rangers Closer Neftali Feliz to tie it at 3-3. Hosmer went 1 for 5 with his solo home run as his sole RBI.

Texas (23-20) took a one game lead in the AL West over the Los Angeles Angels (22-21) with the victory Wednesday night.  The Rangers and Royals play tonight at 7:10 p.m. with Derek Holland (3-1, 4.91 ERA) takes the mound for Texas opposite Royals starter Luke Hochevar (3-4, 4.87 ERA).
