The injury bug has hit the two-time defending American League Champions yet again. The Texas Rangers have placed pitcher Alexi Ogando on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to June 11. Ogando is 1-0 with a 2.08 ERA in 28 appearances on the season.

Ogando aggravated his groin running to first on a bunt single Sunday afternoon in a 5-0 victory over the San Fransisco Giants in the Bay Area. Ogando pitched a perfect three innings for the Rangers before his injury.

Neftali Feliz is still on the injured list and recently signed free agent Roy Oswalt is not ready to be brought up from his minor league stint either. The Rangers will face the Arizona Diamondbacks in Arlington for a three game series.

The Rangers recalled left-hander Michael Kirkman from Triple-A Round Rock to take Ogando's roster spot.
