Texas Tech AD Kirby Hocutt Talks Big 12-SEC Bowl Agreement and Thinks Interim Commissioner Chuck Neinas Deserves A Lot of Credit [AUDIO]

Robert Snyder, Town Square Media Lubbock

Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt joined the Williams & Hyatt Show Friday to discuss the SEC-Big 12 post-season bowl agreement and more.

Hyatt began the discussion by asking Mr. Hocutt how long have the AD’s been sitting on the news and keeping the public in the dark?

“You know its been in the works for quite some time,” Hocutt said. “And in today’s media-age you know it is quite impressive that there were not leaks and that it was truly an announcement this morning. “

Hocutt went on to say that much of the credit is due to interim Big 12 commissioner Chuck Neinas.

“We have to complement and recognize Chuck Neinas who has just done a remarkable job in the interim time he has been our acting commissioner. “

Hocutt also discussed the potential of the four-team playoff to determine the national champion and how it’s now gaining steam, as well as the possibility of future expansion.
