The Texas Tech Red Raider basketball team will return to action tonight when they travel to Columbia, Missouri, to battle the 19th ranked Missouri Tigers. Tip off for the game tonight is set for six, and will be televised live on ESPN2.

The Red Raiders enter the game on a three game losing streak as they have dropped three straight games to ranked opponents. Tech started that losing streak with currently top ranked Kansas falling 86-66. The Red Raiders then fell to now 2nd ranked Texas 76-60 on February 5th, and most recently fell at home to 22nd ranked Texas A&M 70-67 on Saturday. This is the third time this season that the Red Raiders have a losing streak that is at least three games or more.

Texas Tech is 11-14 on the season and 3-7 in Big 12 play. The Missouri Tigers enter the game at 19-6 on the season and 5-5 in Big 12 play. The Tigers were 14-1 in their non conference schedule but have suffered losses in the Big 12 to Colorado, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Texas.

Tonight’s game will be the 20th meeting between the two teams with the Tigers holding the all time series lead at 11-8. Missouri also leads the series in Columbia at 6-2. Tonight’s game will also be the fourth straight Top 25 team that the Red Raiders have played.

The Red Raiders will try to avoid that 4th straight loss. Tip off for the game tonight is set for 6. As mentioned, tonight’s game will be broadcasted live on ESPN2 with Jon Sciambi on play-by-play and Doug Gottlieb providing color analysis.
