Texas Tech Baseball and Rice Cancel Game Two of Their Series; Game One Still a Go

Texas Tech Baseball's Wednesday, April 17 game against the #22 Rice Owls has been cancelled. No official reason for the cancellation was stated by either team.

Texas Tech and Rice will play tonight at 6:35 pm at Reckling Park in Houston.  Justin Bethard will be getting his first start this season for the Red Raiders while Austin Kubitza will be on the mound for the Owls.  The game will be televised on FOX College Sports.

The Red Raiders will look to get their season back on track; they are currently on a six game losing streak and a fourteen game losing streak to Rice.  This weekend, the Red Raiders will get back to conference play with a three-game series against the Kansas Jayhawks.   First pitch for Friday's game is scheduled for 6:30 pm at Dan Law Field in Rip Griffin Park.
