Texas Tech Baseball Announces Times for Red & Black Series

The Texas Tech baseball program has announced times for its annual Red & Black Series, which will begin Sunday, Oct. 23^rd with a 4 p.m. first-pitch from Rip Griffin Park.

The Red & Black Series signals an end to the fall season for the Red Raiders.

The events will get underway beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sunday with a tailgate for Diamond Club members before Game is gets underway with the 4 o’clock first pitch.

All of the games of the Red & Black Series will be played from Rip Griffin Park with admission being free for any fans wishing to attend.

The Texas Tech baseball team opened their fall practice back on Sept. 17^th with 47 players, including 12 returning pitchers, 10 returning position players, and a pair of returning two-way players and four redshirt athletes to go along with 19 newcomers.

The Red Raiders return nine of their top 11 hitters and have brought back 83 percent of the team’s innings pitched from a year ago. In addition, eight of the returning players have earned All-Big 12 honors over the past two seasons.

Game 1: Sunday, Oct. 23 - 4 p.m. (1:30 p.m. tailgate, Diamond Club Members)
Game 2: Monday, Oct. 24 - 3:30 p.m.
Game 3: Tuesday, Oct. 25 - 3:30 p.m.
OFF DAY: Wednesday, Oct. 26
Game 4: Thursday, Oct. 27 - 3:30 p.m.
Game 5: Friday, Oct. 28 - 5 p.m.
