No. 26 Texas Tech Baseball (9-3) will face its third top ten ranked opponent in five days as the Red Raiders travel to Tempe, AZ to take on No. 1o Arizona State (8-2). Texas Tech went 1-2 in the Houston College Classic losing to then No. 4 Arkansas 3-1 and No. 5 Rice 6-2 before beating Houston 10-4. Sophomore David Paiz (RHP, 1-0, 0.00 ERA) will take the mound for the Red Raiders opposite Arizona State's Zak Miller (RHP, 0-0, 0.00 ERA). Paiz last started February 27th in the final game of the Brooks Wallace Classic against Northern Illinois earning a No-decision pitching five shutout innings.

Texas Tech last faced Arizona State in Tempe in 2006 losing 13-5 to the Sun Devils while Texas Tech has a 15-43 record against current Pac-12 members. Later this week, Texas Tech will head to the road again taking No. 18 TCU in Fort Worth. TCU swept Tech last season in Lubbock in a three-game weekend series.
