The Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball team is now 32-12 this season after beating Abilene Christian 5-4 with a walk-off single in the bottom of the 9th.

The single was Tech's first walk-off of the year and 4,000+ Red Raiders got to witness the action at Security Bank Ballpark in Midland, Texas.

Starter Erikson Lanning and a bullpen of Robert Dugger, Ryan Moseley and Hayden Howard threw for the team. Howard picked up the win after giving up the game tying run in the top of the 9th.

Tied up in the bottom of the 9th, the fastest man in the Big 12, Zach Davis, lead-off the inning, and walked.

With Davis on first, Tyler Neslony came up to bat. Davis made the ACU pitcher so flustered worrying about the stolen base that he balked. Then, Neslony singled. That's runners on the corners with Eric Guitierrez up to bat.

Intentional walk.

The intentional walk brings up hot-hitting Hunter Hargrove, and it only took one pitch to drive the ball all the way to the wall. Hargrove scored a single with one RBI, but if needed the hit would have been a bases-clearing double.

Hargrove finished 2 for 4 with a walk, a run and the game-winning RBI.

The Red Raiders return to Big 12 play this weekend as No. 10 Texas Tech travels to Fort Worth for a top-10 battle with No. 6 TCU. The series begins at 8 p.m. Friday evening in a nationally-televised broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
