The Texas Tech baseball team received their highest preseason ranking in the programs history as Baseball America tabbed the Red Raiders # 5 in its preseason top-25 rankings.  The previous highest ranking came prior the 1998 season with a #8 ranking by Collegiate Baseball.  Tim Tadlock and company received the highest ranking of any Big 12 program while TCU (#7), Oklahoma State (#8) and Texas (#10) were all in the top-10 making the Big 12 the only conference in the nation with four teams in the top-10.

Tech is coming off their first ever trip to the College World Series and return 22 players from last season's team that went 45-21.  Tim Tadlock will also be looking to repeat some of last year’s accomplishments as he was named the 2014 National Coach of the Year.  Texas Tech will host San Francisco on Opening Day, scheduled for Friday, February 13th at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park in Lubbock.
