Jerad McCrummen gave up a RBI single in the ninth inning and Designated Hitter Elliot Richoux went 3 for 5 at the plate driving in 3 runs for Texas Tech in a 7-6 loss to the New Mexico State Aggies Monday night in Las Cruces.

The Red Raiders ended their five day, four game road trip going 1-3 and falling to 16-11 on the season. New Mexico State improves 14-12 on the season.

Texas Tech held a 6-4 lead entering the 8th inning, but two runs by the Aggies in the 8th and the winning run in the 9th.

Texas Tech will host its Big 12 home opening series this weekend as TCU comes to town for a three-game series, March 29-31, at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.

The series opener on Friday will be televised to a national audience on FOX College Sports and the series finale, on Easter Sunday, will be televised nationally on FSN.
