Both had incredible seasons for freshman but Grant little was arguably a snub to be left off of the 2nd team if not all-Big12 1st team. Little played in 46 games and hit .351, 3rd best in the conference, and won Player of the Week or his efforts against Kansas. He had 61 hits and 49 runs starting most of his games in the corner outfield spots.

Berglund hit over .300 playing very good defense for the Red Raiders. He played in 47 out of the 55 games providing 26 RBIs and scoring 23 runs.
