Texas Tech Baseball Hosts TCU in Big 12 Conference Series Home Opener [AUDIO]

Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball opens their Big 12 portion of the home schedule tomorrow at Rip Griffin Park against the TCU Horned Frogs.

Tech is 16-11 on the season and 3-3 in the Big 12. TCU has struggled in their first season in the Big 12 as the Frogs are 9-15 on the season and 1-5 in the conference. First pitch Friday night is set for 6:37 p.m. on Fox College Sports.

The Red Raiders are coming off a 1-3 weekend last week where they lost 2 of 3 games to West Virginia and losing a Monday night match against New Mexico State. The Red Raiders were without ace pitcher Trey Masek who missed his usual Saturday start with soreness in his arm.

Texas Tech assistant coach J Bob Thomas joined Scott Fitzgerald of the Sports Shack on Thursday and spoke about the team's travel last weekend and the importance of taking 2 of 3 from TCU.
