Texas Tech Baseball Hosts Utah Valley in the Midweek

Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball starts a two-game midweek series today at home against the Utah Valley Wolverines.
First pitch tonight from Rip Griffin Park is at 6:30pm. Texas Tech is 10-7 on the season and Utah Valley is 7-8 on the season. Tech sends Johnny Drozd to the mound tonight.
The Red Raiders are coming off a weekend where they took two of three from UT-Arlington. The Wolverines took two of three from Nevada over the weekend at home. Utah Valley and Texas Tech have a common opponent in the Arizona Wildcats. Both teams split a two game midweek series in Tucson.
Yesterday, Red Raider Outfielder Devon Conley was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Week for his work last week against Arizona and UT-Arlington. Conley went 7 of 20 at the plate with four RBI and three multi-hit games. Conley’s best game was last Tuesday against Arizona where he went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI.
