The Texas Tech Red Raider baseball team will play host to their first midweek series starting today at Dan Law Field as they welcome in UNLV. The Red Raiders and the Rebels will play a two game series today and tomorrow. First pitch today is set for 5.

The Red Raiders enter today’s matchup at 7-1 on the season. The only loss on the year for Tech was at the hands of the BYU Cougars late last week in the second game of the Brooks Wallace Memorial Classic.  The UNLV Rebels enter the game with the exact same record of 7-1.

Taking the mound today for the Red Raiders will be RHP David Paiz, while Brandon Rainford will be the starter for the Rebels. Ben Flora will close out the two game series for the Red Raiders as the lefty will get the start in the second and final game on Wednesday.

The Red Raiders will wrap up their two game series with UNLV on Wednesday at 1 from Dan Law Field. They won’t have long to catch their breath though as rival TCU will come to Lubbock for a three game weekend series starting Friday.
