The 2013 Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball schedule was released Wednesday morning and features 25 games against NCAA Tournament teams along with a big midweek series against defending National Champion Arizona in Tucson.

The Red Raiders will play 30 home games at Dan Law Field in Rip Griffin Park which is highlighted by a visit from PAC-12 power Arizona State and Big 12 Conference opponents TCU, Oklahoma State, and Baylor. A special game on Sunday, April 14th features a game NAIA power Lubbock Christian University. Both schools last played in 2009.

Tech opens the season in Lubbock hosting Northern Illinois in the Brooks Wallace Classic along with Northern Colorado and BYU on the weekend of February 15th. The Red Raiders begin the conference season on the road at Texas on March 15th and face Big 12 newcomer West Virginia at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston, WV. The ballpark in Charleston is the home of the Class -A minor league squad for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Texas Tech is led by first year head coach Tim Tadlock.
