The #30 ranked Texas Tech Red Raider baseball team got back to their winning ways after a tough weekend in Houston.  They were able to pull out the 9-3 win over the University of New Mexico thanks to a season high 17 hits.

Five Texas Tech players finished with at least three base hits, including freshman center fielder Stephen Smith (4-for-5, 2 runs, 2B, 3B, RBI), senior third baseman Jake Barrios (3-for-5, 3 runs, RBI), senior right fielder Adam Kirsch (3-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI), freshman shortstop Ryan Long (3-for-4, 4 RBI) and senior catcher Mason Randolph (3-for-3, 2 2B, 2 runs).  As a team, they notched season highs in hits, at-bats, doubles, triples and total bases.

With the win, the Red Raiders improve to 10-3 on the year.  Texas Tech will continue its home stand this weekend when they host New Mexico State (7-4) for a four-game non-conference series beginning on Friday, Mar. 6, with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
