Texas Tech Red Raider Baseball earned a road series victory yesterday. The Red Raiders took two out of three games from the Texas Longhorns in Austin with yesterday’s 4 to 2 win.

Tech rallied from a 2-0 deficit to score four unanswered runs with two runs in the third and runs in the 6th and 7th inning to secure the win. Bryant Burleson drove in a run and Devon Conley with a safety squeeze to tie the game in the third inning.

Freshman DH Jared Poteete delivered the game winning run in the 6th inning on a two out single.

The Red Raiders used 5 1/3 innings of relief from Jonny Drozd throwing 49 pitches.

 

Texas Tech improves to 14-8 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12 Conference while Texas falls to 1-2 in the conference and 12-7 overall.

The Red Raiders return to the diamond Tuesday night as they host the No. 14 Arizona State Sun Devils. First pitch from Rip Griffin Park is set for 6:30.
