Texas Tech is returning to Big 12 play this weekend with a three game series with Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State looked to have the advantage going into the series holding onto a 16-3 record at home, while the Red Raiders are just 2-7 on the road.

Something pulling in favor for the Red Raiders is that a pitcher for Oklahoma State is unlikely to be present at the game. Kyle John Ottoson was arrested after blowing a .19 into the breathalyser. When Ottoson was being taken into custody, he stated, “stated his baseball coach was going to kill him,” according to a police report. The details of the arrest are interesting to say the least, check out all of the details here. If convicted, Ottoson could face a $1,000 fine and between 10 days and a year in jail.Ottoson is a left-handed pitcher and is usually the starting pitcher for Saturday games. He has the second lowest earned-run average among OSU starters.

It has yet to be determined if he is going to miss the upcoming game with Texas Tech. More details will be passed along as soon as we know them.
