Texas Tech Baseball is still struggling at the plate.

However, they found ways to get timely hitting in the 9th inning and a 10th inning walk-off single by Barrett Barnes helped the Red Raiders end their four game losing in Big 12 play to defeat Kansas 3-2 Friday night from Dan Law Field.

Texas Tech (26-19, 7-12 Big 12) had another great outing from their bullpen as reliever John Neely improved to 9-0 on the season with his perfect 10th inning on the mound. Texas Tech was led at the plate by Stephen Hagen who was 2 for 4 at the plate and Barnes going 1 for 4 with his walk-off single to win the game.

The Jayhawks (20-22, 9-10 Big 12) were led on the mound by TJ Walz who earned a no-decision pitching 8 innings giving up a run on 5 hits while at the plate Kaiana Eldredge was 2 for 3 with a run scored and a walk.

Texas Tech and Kansas play game 2 of their Big 12 Conference series tonight at 5pm from Dan Law Field in Lubbock.
