Lubbock saw lots of activity over the weekend. There were concerts, Cinco de Mayo celebrations, home shows and, sadly, three assaults on the Texas Tech campus that occurred over the course of an hour and a half.

Texas Tech police reported that three separate assaults happened outside Saturday night (May 7) around 11:45 p.m.

The alert sent from the Texas Tech police department says that "four college-aged black males in a white or silver passenger car and/or walking on foot have reportedly assaulted three separate male students on campus."

Police have no motive or reports of weapons used, but believe the same suspects committed all three assaults. Minor injuries were inflicted on the three male Tech students from fists.

Texas Tech police are investigating the incident and are increasing their on-campus patrols.

Anyone who may have witnessed activity related to the assaults are encouraged to contact the Texas Tech Police Department at (806) 742-3931, the Lubbock Police Department at (806) 775-2865 or Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
